It’s been quite a while since my last and only post. As the mother of a 2 1/2 year old and 7 month old I have found that I just don’t have the time I used to. This morning we went to Music Class at the Austin Lyric Opera’s Armstrong School. I’m not sure who gets the most out of class, Makena or Keegan. Today, Makena tested her boundaries by attempting to get into all of the musical instruments up on the shelf. Keegan stares at the music teacher Julie as if he is in love. I would venture to guess that Julie is Keegan’s first love! Although Makena was mischevious today, she also actually participated with Julie more than she ever has. We were late to class because of the rain, sorry excuse I know, but we’re not used to rain in Austin. There is one song we sing about an owl in a tree. At one point in the song, Julie asks ‘what else is in the tree?’ Makena actually yelled out ‘a snake’. I think Makena is starting to actually understand the concept of class and what it means to have a teacher in charge. We are getting ready for preschool!

We sold our house! And now we have about a month to move. We are going to spend the next four months in a two-bedroom apartment. This should be entertaining! Then we’ll spend the remaining four months house-sitting for friends that are going to England for school. We decided to build a house and went out yesterday with our agent to look at areas. We live in a subdivision in North Austin and have decided to build in South Austin. Austin is such a dynamic city and has so much to offer. We decided to check out the south side of town. Anywho, yesterday we picked out a floorplan and looked at lots. Once we sign on the dotted line we will post up some pictures of our lot. Exciting!
