On Friday, my baby boy turned one. I guess it’s appropriate that on that very same day he jumped on the little baby bike and rode all around the house. He was able to get on the bike and off the bike, all without a tumble. Boys are sooo much different than girls and I’m learning this more and more every day. Keegan is so rough and tumble. He can take a spill and not shed a tear. We had a pretty large party for Keegan simply because our family is large. The new house held up well for the large group and the party ended with an impromptu football game in the back yard.

I’ve begun crafting lately, and deservedly got a lot of slack for my new creations. I’m not sure what has come over me. Maybe it’s the move to the country, maybe it’s the free time (ha) I have staying at home, maybe it’s simply because I want to make something nice for my kiddos. I’ve always been into handmade fashions/clutches/jewelry. With kids, I have a reason to create! I got the idea for the baby book and crown from Grace at her Uncommon Grace website. What wonderful creations she has. I also attempted to create a bunting to hang at the party.

The party was a blast and everyone seemed to have a nice time. We went with a cowboy theme which is easy to do in Texas and I ended up having to decorate the cake since I couldn’t find anyone locally that could do it.

Thanks to all of our wonderful friends and family for sharing this special day with us!
