With all the talk of crafting and my love for ETSY, I have pledged to Buy Handmade this holiday season. No department stores, malls or Target for me. For those of you who know me, this is a big step. I may have to enter a 12 step program but I think I just might be able to do it. I have been inspired by all of the mommies out there with shops on ETSY. And I know how to crochet a scarf so maybe I’ll work on my crocheting a bit more to see if I can do anything else. I can only do so much so I will rely on the lovely mommies that craft and sell at ETSY to give me a hand this holiday season. I will though, try my hardest to make some things on my own. I have books, I have fabric, I have yarn… I can work something out. Maybe say some prayers for me… or maybe say some prayers for the person receiving the gift! Hehehehe…
Molly over at molly coddle has been posting on babycenter for handmade for the holidays. I hope to find some new lovely ETSY goodies on her posts.
Shopping on ETSY can be addicting though. You don’t have to wait for a craft fair and you can shop until your heart’s content. I just love it. I check it everyday always find things that I just have to have. This is Oscar the Sock Monkey. I got him from Adrian that has a shop on Etsy called fried okra. Cute name isn’t it! She has more sock monkeys just waiting to be adopted. Don’t fall for the ploy at Target… I’m sure the sock monkeys they are advertising now are made in China. Please correct me if I’m wrong. I would love to be wrong in this case.
Anyway, there is just so much good stuff at ETSY. Happy shopping for the holidays!
