I want to hold them tightly. Keep them safe. Protect them. Hold on to these moments for a lifetime. Take a million snap shots. Write it all down.

This week Makena has started shushing us. You know, telling us to be quiet. “Shhhh” she will say when she wants me to stop talking or telling her what to do. We watched “The Sound of Music” the other night and whenever she shushes me I keep hearing “i am 3, going on seventeen.”

My little man is now free to roam on his own two feet. He’s now walking, talking and even signing from time to time. A full fledged toddler.

A lot of reflection going on right now. Aren’t we all? Reflecting on the past year, how much has changed and on the year to come. What’s in store? Only time will tell.

All of the pictures are compliments of my father who is one incredible photographer. Nice work Daddy!

Cutie pies! They grow up way too fast. My baby is sitting here reading these words while I type. How did that happen?

Great photos! Your dad has a real talent.

They grow up so fast. People used to tell us that when we first had children and we got sick of hearing it. But here we are with a 12 year old and 10 year old. When did that happen?! Thankfully, we have the 5 month old so we can enjoy it all again ;o)

How funny! My husband and I were singing that song (with our own words and numbers of course) the other day at the pizza parlor and we too were shushed by our children. They really do hate it when we sing in public. Happy New Years!
