We interrupt the scheduled Disney Crack programming to bring you a little crafty goodness.

My bedroom/crafting space is full of sweet little pillowcase dresses. I’ve been updating my Etsy shop. Makena keeps popping in and asking if each one of the dresses is hers. They are hard to part with, some of them are just too cute.

On the Clothesline

I decided that I needed to go ahead and cut into those beautiful vintage pillowcases to make dresses out of them. So I selected a few sizes and cut away. Right now the sizes range from 12 months to 3t. I’ll be continuing to add dresses to the shop over the weekend so check back. Also, remember that I can do custom orders as well so just contact me if you want something special.

Okay, go ahead. Check out the shop. I’ll wait right here for you. Now tell your friends. Spread the word. I’ve got preschool to pay for next fall!

I received my first custom order a couple of weeks ago from a woman wanting a dress for her daughter’s first birthday party. She said that she wanted a Mexican style dress and left the creativity up to me. Fun! I searched high and low until I found the perfect vintage women’s Mexican dress. A few cuts and snips.

Mexican Dress

Voila! A baby dress!

Six. Six dresses. All hanging in a tree. These are pretty. Oh, and I have that yellow sheet set, too. ;) Flickr is making me mad today because I can’t see the mexican dress. And it’s not you, it’s me. I promise.

I love that purple mexican dress. Any chance you can squeeze another in size 3T for RJ? Her favorite colors are Red and Purple and I just know she’d love this!!

Baby is almost here but i can’t buy a dress until I know if it’s a boy or girl!! What if it’s a boy? What could you make for a boy out of a pillow case? Do you do as much sewing for your boy as you do your daughter?
The dresses are adorable, though, and if it’s a girl I’ll have a hard time picking my favorite I’m sure. :)

Man o man those dresses are hard to track down. I search ALL DAY LONG for them and nothing. I came home with nothing. Anyone know a Mexican imports wholesaler? I think that’s my next route.

I am LOVING that Mexican dress. Absolutely beautiful! I know all about the Disney crack, and must admit I’m a little addicted. When I’m having a bad day, sometimes I’ll just imagine that I’m there, looking at that beautiful castle change colors in the sunset. Magic!
