Chikaustin was looking a little droopy. So I spent the past day giving ‘ole chikaustin a face lift. She’s got a new banner, new items in the sidebar and… new items in the Etsy shop!
That’s right friends, go ahead have a look around the shop. The shelves are kind of dusty, just overlook the mess. There are boxes in the corner of things still to list. Sorry. No peeking. I promised sugar cookie baking today so I couldn’t spend all day working in the shop.
This dress is one of my FAVORITE finds lately. It’s a vintage beauty. All hand embroidered. I wouldn’t dare cut into it to make a little girl’s dress. That would be a travesty. Nope. She’ll stay just as she is and hopefully find her way to a new home.
And if you don’t know what to wear this sort of dress with… rock it with a pair of cowboy boots! I saw this exact same look on a local Austin musician in the paper earlier this week. Sittin’ on the porch steps. Strummin’ her guitar. Very Austin style!
I also threw in a few vintage toys that I’ve collected over the past year. They were beginning to remind me of the movie Toy Story and feeling left out so I had to find them a new home. I’m a huge fan of vintage blocks and we have them in piles all over the place. I love to spell out cute words and phrases and put them on top of the piano. How about ‘Happy Holidays.’
Love and Peace.
