The holiday handmade gift making is in overdrive. I hope to have it all finished by the end of the weekend. We’ll see.
I’ve convinced my hubby that a ‘proper’ workspace for myself is in order. I tried to kick Makena out of her room but she’s older now and knows better. I got a resounding ‘nooooooo.’
Who knew a cape and tutu assembly line took up so much space. I’ve got my supplies spread out all across the kitchen bar and flowing onto the kitchen table. And I can’t possibly put them away with Santa’s workshop in full swing.
A trip to Ikea is in the plans today for a desk to put into our bedroom to use as my craft space. I swear that’s all I want for Christmas. Oh yes, and a new sewing machine please… please.
I recently saw a quote on an artist’s painting that read…
“I’m fairly certain that given a cape and nice tiara I could save the world.”
I have to agree.
But let’s not forget tutu’s for the special occasions.
This sweet little number was my first attempt at a tutu and although it took way more tulle than I had imagined, it turned out pretty nicely I think. So much so, in fact, that I think I want one.
And let’s not forget the cape and tiara.
So my wish for you this last weekend before Christmas… when you’re feeling a little down, over stressed, under paid and feeling somewhat under appreciated… put on your imaginary cape and tiara. You’ll save the world.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend and I’ll see you on the other side.
Love and Peace.
