While surfing the blogs the other day I came across this site which gave me some new ideas for art projects for the kids.  Specifically this one.

water color resist painting

My little Makena is always asking to ‘do art.’ So art we shall do.

And I really want to go here.  Hint.  Hint.  Nudge.  Nudge.

All of this artsy crafty goodness has got my mind swirling about the direction of my blog and my etsy shop.  I’ve got a few things up my sleeve that I’ve been working on.  Hopefully I can put some things together and show it to you soon.

We made our weekly trip to the library and found some new great children’s books.  And one for mama.  I don’t always refer to myself in the third person but it seemed appropriate.

    good morning!

Thanks for the art links and book mention. Tell me if you like it, please, and I’ll add it to my list. ok? My favorite art site for projects to do with Genny is The Crafty Crow. LOVE IT! This page looks great though. I’ve bookmarked it for future reference.

Of course, I can’t wait to see what craftiness you come up with.

We used to do this at school when I was younger – another great one is to draw fireworks exploding in the sky with all sorts of beautifully coloured crayons and then to paint over the top with black…..the night sky awash with fireworks!

Oh, ‘art’ is always happening here. The little ones have pens and paper from one end of the house to the other. Ari is always having art shows, and doing craft. And drawing drawing drawing constantly. I wish I could just sit down with him and draw too (but so much happening all over the place for me at the moment!).
He’s been trying to make a bag for Makena out of glued scraps of fabric, but told me today that it wasn’t good enough to give to someone…..
    Take care, E xx

The 3rd person reference must be FB inspired!! ha, haaa…

Oh, and Di – that’s a great idea, too! Great idea for the 4th of July :)
