Rumor has it, yellow is the color for spring this year. And since the man, (ahem) the fashion magazines, say it’s yellow, yellow it will be.
To get my gears turning for Craft Hope’s first project, I made this pillowcase dress for my niece for her birthday. It matches one that I made last year and fell in love with.
Sorry about the wrinkles. I can’t seem to find my iron for the life of me. How does one lose an iron? Oh, it could be under that mountain of laundry in my bathroom that I’ve been neglecting and walking around. Ah the life of a stay-at-home mom neglecting her domestic duties to sew.
I do have a stash of pillowcases that I’ve been collecting for just the right project so Craft Hope will get my entire collection. And, of course, gives me reason to go thrifting for more this weekend.
It made me think, though… I’m calling my mom to see if she still has some of her old pillowcases from my childhood and if she’s ready to part with them. I think I’ve seen them around every once in a while. The 70’s is “vintage” right?
