Well where on earth did I disappear to?  All of a sudden I looked up and it’s Wednesday.  And would you believe me if I told you that I haven’t been on the computer since last Friday.  Gasp.  I know.

And you know what?  I can’t tell you that I’ve gotten the house all organized, or the laundry all done, or even the dishes done for that matter.  I’m not eactly sure what I’ve been doing.  I’ve got piles around the house of things to be sorted and organized.  I’ve got a list of to-do’s coming out of my ears.  I’ve just being doing the mommy shuffling.  Moving from here to there.  I’ve always liked the theme of the movie Chocolat.  You know that… blowing with the wind… moving with the seasons.  I think that’s where I’ve been.  Just being carried on by the wind and a little bit of rain.

We’ve built lincoln log houses, lego castles, played dress up and baked cupcakes.  We’ve jumped in rain puddles, slid down wet slides and played in the muddy sand box.  Yes…  that’s where I’ve been.

I really need to focus and get this house in order and get ready for the dresses, shirts and shorts coming my way for Craft Hope.  I’ve already received a couple of packages and can’t wait to show you the beautiful work that was handmade by you rock star mamas.

vintage pillowcases

Here is my little pile is of my vintage pillowcases that are soon to become little girl’s dresses.  I must get to sewing my dresses and shorts very soon.  Like now.  So enough chattering.  I just wanted to pop in and tell you that I’m still alive and kicking.  Raising a ruccus as usual.  I hope to catch up with all of you very, very soon!

I’m feeling the seasons changing here in the Texas Hill Country.  I hope you are able to feel those winds of change as well.  Ah, a new day is upon us.

when i’m a mom, i want to be like you.seriously. you are such an inspiration to this one day mother. you have been in the absolute best place — with your family. i love that ya’ll jump in rain puddles, slide down wet slides and play in the mud. makes me long for the days — even more than we already do — when we will have our own family and i’ll be at home with the kids (the most important job in the world). thanks for the constant smiles you give me.

ps dressings are shipping tomorrow. i had to show my mom! =)

Ahhh … breath in … breath out. I’m surprised we haven’t run into each other … I’ve been in the same place – piles here – piles there – computer on … and on … and on … I’m going to slow down and just be and breath for a little while. Hope you get a chance to do so too.

Omgoodness! You and I have the same GREAT taste in vintage goodies. I counted 5 of those pillowcases that I also have in my stash. And that green vintage file box from your office, got one of those too. :)

I have been hiding from my blog too, and didn’t even realize it…must be the nice weather we’ve been having.

Would you shoot me an email with info on where to send my dresses for Craft Hope? Can’t wait to see what cute things everyone has made!

Isn’t it crazy how life just takes so much living? So much time? :) Just keep doing it. Lincoln log cabins are more important than blog posts anyway, don’t you think?

Hope you get just the right amount of pillowcase dresses and shorts! Such a wonderful project! Wish I had a bit more time this month and some vintage cases to contribute. The ones I’ve seen look beautiful!

I’m glad to hear all is well. I think cupcakes and cabins are more important than posting. We’ve been working on outdoor snow forts. I keep meaning to make a pillowcase dress, but the time gets away from me. Perhaps this weekend…

I’ve been away from computer so long that I’m only just reading this post now. And, I can’t say where I’ve been either – cannot remember the details of family life, plus part time work, plus trying to get all my stuff done for my craft show in (arhhhh) one week!
I do know that I posted a dress and skirt for Craft Hope. And finally got a heap of other things posted off to other people. So, that’s one thing crossed off my massive to-do list.

    Take care, E xxx

Sewing with vintage sheets has become one of my faves!!! The way even an ugly sheet – when parted out – becomes a thing of beauty.

    Nice.

And thanks for the comment on our Future Craft Collective site.
