Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments about the vintage linens. My head is spinning with the possibilities of what all I can create. They have all been moved from my shelves and will either work their way into our daily lives or lie in wait by the sewing machine for a project.

This weekend has been an absolute blur for me. There is so much going on right now, from birthday parties to weddings, play dates to finger pin removal, life is moving really fast. So as I attempt to gather my thoughts I leave you with some of my favorite photos from the past few days.

I do have a funny story to share. I couldn’t get away without at least one story! We had dinner at a friends house on Friday and I made dessert to bring along. I searched through my Paula Deen cookbook because her food is just sinful at times. I found the perfect decadent dessert called ‘Better than sex? Oh yes!’ Bingo! Found my dessert. As I was chopping up Heath bars for the topping, I was chuckling because of the name of the dessert. I laugh to myself/at myself quite a bit. Makena, who doesn’t know the name of the dessert, walks up to me and says “are you the cooker Mommy?” I reply with “yes honey, and are you the eater?” She said “no… I’m the play girl.” Get it? I doubled over with laughter and couldn’t stop the tears from streaming down my face. That’s good stuff!
