I Heart Etsy

Impulse purchases abound whenever I shop around on Etsy. I am an Etsy shop owners dream customer. Fabric? Of course I need some. Handbag? The seasons are always changing. Pincushion? Can’t have too many. Knitted baby hat? Keeps me from learning how to knit myself. Tea towels? Perfect for a bridal shower gift. Jewelery? Exactly what I’ve been looking for. Kid’s cape? Perfect birthday present. Art prints? New house, new art. The list goes on and on.

You see, Etsy has become my guilty pleasure. I go online and am amazed by all of the wonderful crafting and art. I drool over the new art, and sometimes, just sometimes patiently wait to decide where it should go. Before Christmas I bought a few prints for our house. My style has changed quite a bit since we moved out here. I used to scan through a Pottery Barn catalog, search through the outlet store and see what I could come up with. Now, I spend my time wandering around thrift stores in hopes for a great vintage find.

Etsy Love

I bought this print Lost on Etsy, by Mandy of Belle and Boo, and it is a new addition to my crafting space. I feel in love with this print when I first saw it a while back and am excited to now have the perfect place for it. A place where it will serve as daily inspiration for me. Beside the print are two vintage milk glass vases I recently picked up at a thrift store for a quarter each. Although I still love a good sale, I now truly appreciate art handcrafted with love and home decor from a bygone era.
